This service is designed for a manuscript that has already had developmental edits. In a copyedit, I focus on correcting issues such as grammar, punctuation, and inconsistencies.

What's included:

• Major plot restructuring

• Theme analysis or deep developmental feedback

• Rewriting large sections of prose

• Proofreading after formatting

Proofreading is designed to be completed after developmental editing, copyediting, and any formatting or design. It is to catch any minor errors before print. It is not a content edit or as detailed as a copy edit. Instead it ensures that there are no basic errors such as spelling or punctuation that were added during one of the previous stages.

What’s not included:

• Developmental edits

• Structural/line edits

• Voice changes

Not to be confused with a full edit, this service is designed for authors who are somewhere in the drafting process and would like generalized feedback. In a manuscript evaluation, I will read your story in any stage and provide a written editorial letter highlighting both it’s strengths and weaknesses.

• Big-picture analysis of plot, pacing, and structure

• Evaluation of character arcs and emotional engagement

• Worldbuilding and Magic System review (when applicable)

• Theme, tone, and genre alignment feedback

• Strengths, challenges, and prioritized revision suggestions

• A comprehensive editorial letter

What’s Not Included:

• Line-by-line editing or rewriting

• Grammar, spelling, or punctuation corrections

• Proofreading or formatting fixes

A sample edit serves to help you as an author get a feel for my editing style, and for me as an editor to give you a better estimate on factors such as completion time.
